There are two major subtypes of T cells the killer T cell and the helper T cell.

The B cell and T cell numbers are within normal limits.

A naïve T cell or Th0 cell is a T cell that has differentiated in bone marrow, and successfully undergone the positive and negative processes of central selection in the thymus.

Memory T cells typically express the cell surface protein CD45RO.

The mechanism of CD4 T cell depletion differs in the acute and chronic phases.

To enter CD4 T cells, HHV 7, unlike HHV 6, uses CD4 and possibly some cell surface glyoproteins to enter CD4 T cells.

The T helper cells (Th cells) are a type of T cell that play an important role in the immune system, particularly in the adaptive immune system.

This can prime cytotoxic T cell responses and seems to be important for a full primary immune response.

While killed vaccines do not have this risk, they cannot generate specific killer T cell responses, and may not work at all for some diseases.
