The net proceeds raised by National Committees from private sector fund raising activities are recorded on the basis of the reports they submit at year's end, while the net proceeds raised by field offices from private sector fund raising activities are recorded upon receipt of funds.

Net income from the private sector includes proceeds from the sale of greeting cards and other products, private sector fund raising and contributions from NGOs.

5.
