Not mentioned, and more important, is how social intelligence (speaking of a group or assembly of groups) processes information about the world and shares it with participants in the group(s).

The participants find that the problems of religious minorities, linguistic groups, ethnic minorities and indigenous peoples discussed in the seminar share a number of common elements across the South Asian subregion.

Participants had before them a number of discussion papers submitted by Member States, regional groups and NGOs, and four background papers prepared by the Secretariat on each of the themes (see annex).

Given the short time available for the Committee to complete its work, participants will be encouraged to keep such statements to a minimum, for example by having group spokespersons speak on behalf of their groups.
