The Executive Directorate will coordinate with the Monitoring Team in preparation for Executive Directorate visits, invite its members, as appropriate, to participate in these visits and seek to develop broad based conclusions emanating therefrom.

All new Executive Directorate staff will continue to receive the necessary training in order to become familiar with the work and procedures of the Committee and the Executive Directorate and thereby enhance their productivity.

The role of the Executive Directorate will be a critical component of this work.

That notion was further reiterated by the observer for the Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate.

Work programme of the Counter Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (1 October to 31 December 2005)

China looks forward to the full functioning of the Counter Terrorism Committee (CTC) Executive Directorate.

Likewise, we would like to recognize the efforts of the Counter Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate.

A working arrangement has been finalized between the Counter Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate and UNODC.

Hopefully, the full establishment of the Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED), under its able Executive Director, Mr. Javier Rupérez, would resolve the problem.

During the transitional period of CTC reform, the Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED) has been active.

We understand that the Counter Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED) will finally be operational in September.

Previous position include Regional Director, Regional Directorate Director for Information Technology, Directorate of Tax Information Executive Secretary, National Tax Court and head of district, District Tax Office, Jakarta.

My delegation further welcomes the continuing progress towards making the Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED) fully operational.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Executive Director of the Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED), Mr. Javier Rupérez, and his team.

The Executive Directorate will reorganize the Committee's website in order to make it more user friendly and efficient.

We also hope that the CTC's work will be more effective once the Executive Directorate becomes fully operational.

The Committee puts great emphasis on its responsibility to provide the Counter Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate with policy guidance in line with Council resolution 1535 (2004) in order to enable the Executive Directorate to fulfil its mandate to assist the Committee in its work.

The Executive Directorate will also respond to additional requests from the Committee during the period of the work programme.

The cooperation and assessment tasks entrusted to the Executive Directorate will undoubtedly be of vital importance to the CTC.

TPB's technical assistance activities are undertaken in full coordination with the CTC and its Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED).

He also underlined the importance of the Counter Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate becoming fully operational as soon as possible.

I would like to thank Ambassador Andrey Denisov, Chairman of the CTC, and Ambassador Javier Rupérez, Executive Director of the Executive Directorate of the Committee, for their work.

I would also like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to the Executive Director of the Committee's Executive Directorate (CTED), Ambassador Javier Rupérez, for his commendable efforts.

The Executive Directorate will prepare and submit, through the Secretary General, a semi annual comprehensive report to the Committee plenary.

Our thanks go also to Ambassador Rupérez and his team for their work in the Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED).

Based on its conclusions, the Executive Directorate will prepare recommendations on best practices in specific areas, as guided by the Committee.

Since the Executive Directorate was fully staffed as of 6 September 2005, it is, de facto, essentially a fully operational unit.

With respect to its administration and its relations to the United Nations system, the Counter Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate will continue

The CTC's Executive Directorate (CTED) should continue to play and further strengthen its leading role in the coordination of such assistance.

The Executive Directorate will continue to ensure follow up to the decisions of the Committee, monitor their execution and evaluate their results.

The establishment of the Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED) provides a much needed infusion of resources to Secretariat support for the CTC.

However, we expect the Executive Directorate to be at full capacity before the end of the period covering the current work programme.

Iceland continued to work with the Counter Terrorism Committee and its Executive Directorate and with the Al Qaida and Taliban Sanctions Committee.

The Committee will be assisted in its implementation of this work programme by the Counter Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate through implementation in turn of the Executive Directorate's second work programme (see appendix).

I have the honour to refer to paragraph 15 (f) of S 2004 124 dated 19 February 2004 in which the Counter Terrorism Committee has requested the Executive Director of the Counter Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate to submit, through the Secretary General, the programme of work of the Directorate to the plenary.

In addition, the Executive Directorate may, when deemed appropriate, contact States to seek further clarification from them on issues arising from their reports.

Now that the budgetary and administrative provisions have been finalized, we are confident that the Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate will become fully operational.

I would also like to thank Mr. Rupérez for his valuable work since assuming the leadership of the Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED).

The Team has also continued to coordinate its work with other relevant bodies, including the Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate, in an exemplary manner.
