The Millennium Development Goals are a set of goals to ensure development, peace and security, and human rights for our peoples.

To achieve those goals requires a combination of interconnected approaches.

Government practices, policies, and programmes offer a vast array of potential targets for assessment.

In a different spectrum of societal norms the Goals 2 and 6 are being threatened by an age old privilege.

Support by the G 8 will help African countries achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

The Rio Group countries are pooling our efforts to reach the Millennium Development Goals, because we believe those Goals also address young people.
