When numerous committees meet in parallel, the countries with the largest teams of experts dominate proceedings, effectively locking most countries out of key decisions and impeding meaningful dialogue.

It would also be useful to have information on the number of complaints of sexual harassment in schools, the procedures in place to address such complaints, and the measures taken to prevent the stigmatization of victims.

The fact that only 52 States have currently issued such an invitation is inconsistent with calls by States for the special procedures system to operate in a balanced and comprehensive manner.
