This structure is also able to compensate for lack of staff owing to absences, particularly on annual leave, in the teams.

In case this is formal emplyment, then the employees will have all the rights pertaining, including the right to sick leave and annual leave.

Leave taken during the recess and the breaks in excess of the annual leave entitlement provided for in the Staff Rules is treated as special leave with pay.

(f) The Secretary General shall set the terms and conditions under which annual leave may be allowed to staff members recruited specifically for service with a mission from within the general area of the mission and notify the staff of these terms and conditions.
