The number of standards and indicators has increased over time, in an effort to address a larger number of situations and cases.

A number of elements from the Standards Implementation Plan are reportedly complete.

A number of international standards to combat money laundering are already in place.

A number of States were urged to implement or reform their existing legislation, and to take into account international standards.

There are a huge number of networks on the Internet organized by region, practice area and various other criteria.

It remains so regardless of the standards, a number of which would actually be facilitated by its completion.

The new two party coalition government has, since taking office on 3 December 2004, undertaken a sustained effort to accelerate standards implementation on the basis of a number of priority standards goals and indicators to measure progress, agreed upon between the government and UNMIK.

But in setting standards, we have neglected for too long their implementation.

UNICEF is working with partners to strengthen existing standards so that they are in conformity with those at the national level.

Well we have two objective measures.

It continues to be a standard setter in a world with strong incentives to evade standards and negligible sanctions for doing so.

No use of specific technologies is mandated to meet the standards, though available technology is considered when setting the standards.

While recognizing that progress in the implementation of some of the standards has been made, substantial further progress across all eight standards will be necessary, particularly on the priority actions taken in the framework of those standards.

In addition there are a number of economic and environmental issues which will need to be addressed including the possible need for financial assistance for disarmament and the harmonizing of environmental standards for destroying weapons systems and disposing of fissile materials.

UNICEF developed standards for mine risk education which were endorsed by the United Nations, as part of the International Mine Action Standards.

The number of persons per dwelling is low by international standards, having fallen from 3.9 persons per household in 1961 to 2.6 persons in 2001.
