11.6 In the present case, and as the State party has conceded that the author's removal would constitute an interference with his family life, the Committee considers that a decision by the State party to deport the father of a family with two minor children and to compel the family to choose whether they should accompany him or stay in the State party is to be considered interference with the family.

Under this ideal, states can be justified in intervening within other states if that state is failing to protect (or if it is actively involved in harming) its citizens.

The State party, adopting the reasons advanced by RRT for its decision, rejects the complainant's contention that the inconsistencies in his evidence were not material.
