PSEPC is responsible for monitoring and analysing cyberthreats to government systems, providing a central reporting point for cyberincidents and alerting government departments to new threats and vulnerabilities.

In accordance with the policies and strategies of the Office, in the coming second phase the investigation will focus on a selected number of criminal incidents and on those persons bearing the greatest criminal responsibility for those incidents.

Uganda has informed the Group that the final investigation report will be provided upon its completion.

Suspicious incidents

Members of the Council, reaffirming their condemnation of this murderous attack on defenceless refugees, expressed their expectation that they would receive a final report on the investigation very soon.

As recommended by the report of the International Commission of Inquiry, the ICC remains the only acceptable instance of criminal law for dealing with the issue of accountability in the Sudan.

Indeed, the accident rate in built up areas has declined significantly over recent years, while three fourths of fatal accidents now occur in the countryside.

One consequence of this is increased number of accidents in work.

No casualties were reported in these incidents.

There is therefore a great risk that they will escape criminal prosecution, especially as OIOS complained in its report about the lack of cooperation in its investigation by the military contingents concerned.

Causes of crashes vary according to local conditions.

These precedents can be extended.
