To date, 164 experts from 90 non Annex I Parties have attended these training workshops and gained knowledge and skills in GHG inventories, V and A assessments and mitigation assessments.

The GHGIS is vital to producing authoritative GHG information for the COP and ensuring that the large number of annual inventories can be processed in a cost effective, timely and rigorous manner.

Greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting can calculate direct or indirect GHG emissions, which may be used for internal reporting or enterprise carbon accounting.

They then take delivery on their premises so that overall refined inventories rise, but that increase is not part of reported commercial inventories.

Therefore GHG emissions from this subsector will grow.

They also present potential co benefits for GHG abatement.

But, contrary to economists claims, oil inventories do reveal a footprint of speculation.

Since there has been no rise in inventories, there has been no speculation.

Recalculation, consistent with the UNFCCC reporting guidelines on annual inventories, is a procedure for re estimating anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG)6 emissions by sources and removals by sinks of previously submitted inventories7 as a consequence of changes in methodologies, changes in the manner in which emission factors and activity data are obtained and used, or the inclusion of new source and sink categories.

Inventories are actually at historically normal levels and 10 higher than five years ago.

They believe that these measures will result in reduction of growth of GHG emissions.

A range of other measures clearly delivers sustainable development as well as GHG benefits.
