In addition, the Office provides administrative and programme support for the implementation of the operational programmes of the Department, including the Development Account, technical cooperation activities, extrabudgetary projects and other special operations.

The Development Account encourages collaborative efforts between various United Nations departments and entities in implementing innovative cross sectoral activities that draw on the technical, human and other resources available in developing countries.

The Committee recommends that the State party continue to ensure that its international human rights obligations and the present recommendations are taken fully into account when entering into technical cooperation and other arrangements.
