Culture in all its manifestations is the foundation of nationhood.

The Nationhood Programme Account financed 14 projects, only three of which need additional funding.

While pursuing their respective policy interests, communities must build bridges of hope and trust between one another with a view to strengthening their sense of nationhood and preserving the unity, territorial integrity, sovereignty and political independence of Iraq.

We see the human faces on the notes so often that they come to seem like family, creating what the political scientist Benedict Anderson called the imagined community that underlies and sustains a sense of nationhood.

It is recommended that, with the transfer of that amount, the Nationhood Programme account be closed.

10. In 1991 there were 14 ongoing projects under the Nationhood Programme Account.

The Nationhood Programme was a comprehensive developmental programme focusing on training and research projects.

More than 1,700 students were trained through the Nationhood Programme and the General Account programme.

The people of Palestine still need and deserve our continued support until they reach the goal of nationhood in a Palestinian State with its capital in Jerusalem.
