Application of this amount brought to 16,135,838 the total amount of outstanding assessed contributions for the former Yugoslavia.

This exceeds the amount outstanding at 30 September 2004 by over 14 million.

The aggregate amount, based on the recommendations contained in paragraph 104 of the report, is as follows

UNDP, the Office of Legal Affairs and UNICEF have agreed to settle the outstanding amount.

UNHCR could not compute their aggregate amount, because it had not requested its field offices to report them.

That would reduce the amount outstanding at the end of 2005 compared with the end of 2004.

This obviously depends in part on the amount of debt outstanding, the interest rate, and the country s growth prospects if it continues to pay.

Aggregate economic developments

The outstanding amount of 2.5 billion in the peacekeeping budget, notwithstanding that assessments of over 800 million were still within the 30 day period, was also a cause for concern.

The contracts entered into in 2004 for the design development phase and the total amount of 663,976 paid to the contractors covering the equivalent work completed, which is 7 per cent of the aggregate amount of 10.09 million as at 31 December 2004, are set out in table 5.

Managing aggregate demand is governments job.

Nevertheless, Member States should authorize the Secretariat to apply outstanding credits to outstanding assessed contributions.

On both accounts, aggregate demand will decline.

If that amount is received during the period from 2001 to 2005, it would reduce the Government's outstanding assessed contributions at the end of 2005 to its total assessments during 2005 plus 116,809.

That amount ( 2,903,105), plus any additional outstanding contributions received during 2005 against the prior bienniums, will be distributed to eligible Member States on 1 January 2006, unless decided otherwise by the General Conference.

The table contained in annex VI shows the net amount outstanding for the former Yugoslavia on 27 April 1992, that is, the pre dissolution arrears specified under the proposal by the representative of Ghana.

An important source of aggregate demand has evaporated.

Although the total amount outstanding is more than 400 million lower than at the end of 2004, it still stands at over 2.1 billion, and as noted above, further assessments can be expected during 2005.

Thus, rather than tying executive pay to a specified percentage of the value of the bank s common shares, compensation could be tied to a specified percentage of the aggregate value of the bank s common shares, preferred shares, and all the outstanding bonds issued by the bank.

The fall in aggregate demand while potential aggregate supply has been rising because of overinvestment by China and other emerging markets will sharply reduce inflation.

Rather, the risk stems from governments refusal, when push comes to shove, to match aggregate demand to aggregate supply in order to prevent mass unemployment.

What it needs is a push more aggregate demand.

c Outstanding contribution to be resolved.

In this example, the price of the aggregate good in the second country is 4.2 times the price of the aggregate good in the first country.

As long as the state is able to determine the aggregate amount of resources devoted to augmenting the instruments i.e., the capital base and the basic reward to those who own them, there is no obvious case for further involvement.
