Making money gives us something to do that feels worthwhile, as long as we do not reflect too much on why we are doing it.

One, it's diverse. We think about the world in all the ways that we experience it. We think visually, we think in sound, we think kinesthetically.

We have to think like existentialists.

Let's ponder that for a moment.

We must think about friends.

So when we think about future technologies, we actually think of using bacteria and virus, simple organisms.

Normally we think about technology as interactive.

This misses the point.

Content that makes us uncomfortable, is filtered out.

We self edit as we re having ideas.

We think of people suffering, we think of people we love, but at some point, it can be a state which is all pervading.

Now when we think of our senses, we don't usually think of the reasons why they probably evolved, from a biological perspective.

Indeed, they are part of what makes us human.

Really when we think of our senses, or when we think of the loss of the sense, we really think about something more like this the ability to touch something luxurious, to taste something delicious, to smell something fragrant, to see something beautiful.

When we think about human capital we think about the things we can measure easily things like grades, SAT's, degrees, the number of years in schooling.

Think about it.

We are even thinking about doing a blog on our journey.

And this fear is what causes us to be conservative in our thinking.

This leaves us with an enduring mystery.

When we think about why we hear, we don't often think about the ability to hear an alarm or a siren, although clearly that's an important thing.

As we design these things, we could be thinking about designing these invisible worlds, and also thinking about how they interact with our personal ecosystems.

Let's think about some other domains, like maybe health.

And we need to think about how we can do that effectively.
