I hope it will adopt a progressive policy on sustainable energy and take the right decision just as they did when they wrote the article 9 of the Japanese Constitution of 1946 when they renounced war forever.

In 1995, an Environmental Policy was adopted and this constitutes the basis for sustainable development in Mozambique aimed at eradicating poverty, improve quality of life of Mozambicans and reduce damage of the natural environment.

Many of the most promising partnerships are profiled at the Danish led Global Green Growth Forum, and include coalitions on greening public procurement, advancing a sustainable energy trade zone, and addressing fossil fuel subsidies worldwide.

The Executive Secretary stressed that any policy on sustainable forest management must aim at preserving existing forests and ensure that reforestation and afforestation policies were addressed and promoted.
