This amendment was recently extended and is in force until the end of April 2007.

It was adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that constitute the Bill of Rights.

As a result of this amendment, comparable protection against discrimination has been extended to gender.

Ms. Adjalova (Azerbaijan) announced that the amendment in document A C.3 60 L.71 had been withdrawn.

Since 1997, the general old age pension has been modified and now benefits both men and women.
