The performance report (A 59 623) failed to mention what the Mission had done to facilitate the return of the more than 220,000 internally displaced persons.

The Permanent Mission of Brunei Darussalam presents its compliments to the Chairman of the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1540 (2004) and has the honour to transmit herewith the report of Brunei Darussalam in accordance with paragraph 4 of Security Council resolution 1540 (2004) (see annex).

The Permanent Mission of Palau to the United Nations presents it compliments to the Committee and has the honour to submit to the latter Palau's supplementary report on Security Council resolution 1373 (2001) (see enclosure).

The report of the fact finding mission was subsequently submitted to the Security Council, which passed resolution 1430 (2002) requesting Ethiopia to dismantle the settlements within 30 days.

In the view of the Advisory Committee, the presentation of this transition in the performance report and supplementary information was confusing and misleading both in terms of the number of aircraft at the disposal of MINURSO and the actual hours flown.

The majority of the training is organized within the Mission and is related to technical and administrative aspects of the Mission, particularly to those related to the downsizing and subsequent liquidation of the Mission.
