The Government of Germany has advised that immigration formalities will be facilitated at its embassies or consulates.

During 2004, the Governments of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and of Kenya took decisions to stop issuing visas to holders of Somali passports.

However, arrangements are being made to upgrade the system at the Passport and Immigration Office for such data to be entered immediately.

Some of the most frequently targeted institutions are the law enforcement agencies, including Customs, the Police, passport issuing officials and, of course, the judiciary and financial institutions.

Two of the non EU members, Iceland and Norway, are part of the Nordic Passport Union and are officially classified as states associated with the Schengen activities of the EU.

In December 2004, the Government of Mauritius submitted to the CTC, a list containing its assistance needs in various sectors (Banking, Financial Services, Passport and Immigration, Police and Customs).

4.2 On 6 September 2002, the Passport and Nationality Department asked the Consulate General to inform it whether the author had submitted an application for a passport, given that it had no record of any information concerning Ms. El Ghar.

Urges all Member States, in their implementation of the measures called for in paragraph 1 above, to ensure that stolen and lost passports and other travel documents are invalidated as soon as possible and share information on those documents with other Member States through the Interpol database
