In order for us to do this we had to find a common thread, what links us as a continent and as a people.

And my experience is that, when I'm talking to her, with every second that passes during our conversation, the feeling of love that binds us is bringing us closer and closer together.

That is the common thread that binds us all together. Faith will prove to be the solution to many of today's problems.

DNA ties us all together, so we share ancestry with barracuda and bacteria and mushrooms, if you go far enough back over a billion years.

And the reason it connects us with consciousness today is that all of us still today, the very first shape we draw as a child is a circle.

Although we differ in certain respects, the members of the Pacific Island Forum share a strong and unifying collective interest in the ocean spaces that connect us.
