So there are a few things that bring us humans together in the way that an election does.

And if a politician starts doing things we don't like, we can just replace him with someone else in the next election.

Every year most of us pay our taxes to the government and every few years we elect the representatives who will run that government and therefore we're handing over power and money and we have a right to know how that money is spent and how that power is exercised.

Rather, I have invested in my civic education, because I no longer think that the problem with our politics resides in the governments we elect, but rather in the type of citizens and voters we have produced.

Now we must set up the Commission's standing organizational committee and elect its members in order to meet the deadline to make the Commission operational by the end of this year.
