Senior scientists and other personnel have a responsibility to ensure that junior colleagues are aware of codes of conduct and the principles underlying them

Article 45 encourages island courts to decide matters wherever possible in conformity with custom' and s3(1) of the 1983 Island Courts Act requires each court to have at least three justices knowledgeable in custom'.

But it is doubtful that even well intentioned policymakers have a good handle on, say, how to raise secondary school completion rates sustainably or reduce maternal mortality.
