NM I understand that one of the aims of your project is to get Africans to start talking to one another.

You don't have to be using the Internet the competition is open to ideas that work with any communication or information technologies.

With prizes including US 5,000 grants for citizen media projects, if making a difference through media is what you're about, we want to hear from you.

This site will document every story, every project that comes out of this conference and around the world. So you go to the website, you see a bunch of ideas you can be inspired by and then you add your own projects once you get started.

It's the process of creation that keeps me sort of a bubble and a half above perpetual anxiety in my life, and it's that feeling of being about 80 percent complete on a project where you know you still have something to do, but it's not finished, and you're not starting something that really fills my entire life.
