The strategic framework of the International Research and Training Institute for the Advancement of Women 2004 2007 was approved by the Executive Board of the Institute at its resumed first session held in 2004.

According to article VII, paragraph 2 of the Statute of UNIDIR, a subvention towards meeting the salaries of the Director and the staff of the Institute may be provided from the regular budget of the United Nations.
