Getting the balance correct is complicated by the fact that the right fears the left will use fiscal stimulus as a path to permanently larger government, a path that the right (and apparently the general public) is unwilling to follow.

We also stress the need to establish meaningful synergy among the Bretton Woods institutions, the United Nations system and its agencies and other development agencies to assist developing countries in augmenting their capacity to increase their share of world trade, as a necessary path to prosperity.
