Why can't we sit and talk like civilized people?

In Russia and elsewhere, the French are often perceived to feel and act superior. And who could blame them?

And here, all of a sudden, we have a system that is locking economic structure with social logic the economic institutions, and who we are as people, locked together to drive an engine of growth.

It's considering what it means for these artists to be both out in the world as their work travels, but in their communities as people who are seeing and thinking about the issues that face us.
