We cannot compromise the very basis of our membership in the Organization.

During our term on the Security Council, we actively worked towards that goal.

To this day we consider our membership a cornerstone of our national sovereignty.

Indeed, our pro EU sentiments may be all the stronger because our membership in the Union, like our freedom, is so comparatively new.

Given the current absence of any alternative models or proposals before the Assembly, my delegation is of the view that the report's model A would better serve the interests of our membership.
