The present report contains the revised budget for MINUSTAH for the period from 1 July 2005 to 30 June 2006, which amounts to 518,828,500 and which represents an increase of 48,754,900 from the amount of 470,073,600 appropriated by the General Assembly in its resolution 59 17 B for the maintenance of the mission for the same period.

The resources approved by the Assembly for the maintenance of the mission were based on the ceilings of the military and civilian police components authorized by the Security Council in its resolution 1542 (2004) of 30 April 2004.
