The reductions in staff recommended in the paragraphs above would lead to a consequential reduction of 1,984,600 under support services.

The libraries will work to help staff and delegations deal with this increasingly complex environment through direct support services, which will be addressed at the actual location of the problem.

The Division also provides limited administrative support to offices of other United Nations entities located at the Vienna International Centre, such as the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the United Nations Office for Project Services, and to the United Nations Interregional Crime Research Institute located in Turin, Italy.

The administrative office of the Tribunal would provide services to the secretariat of the Tribunal in connection with personnel, budgetary and financial administration and use of common services, together with the relating administrative support to the Tribunal when it is in session .

Staff outreach support is also provided.

(b) Administrative support and finance services (extrabudgetary)

The existence of support services for women who are the victims of aggression or abuses.

Most support services will be provided from the global service centre.

The activities for which the Office of Central Support Services is responsible fall under subprogramme 4, Support services, of programme 24, Management and support services, of the biennial programme plan for the period 2006 2007.

(f) Providing support services to the Commission and the Economic and Social Council

Costs for common support services are estimated at 10,400.

The Offices of Social Support Services address everyone who faces accumulated exclusion problems and is not covered by Welfare services or services for employment and training.

Despite being understaffed, the Section adequately serviced the trials and other support activities.

Support to these complex specialized information systems will be provided by the Executive Office, given the fact that they fall outside the scope of the Information Technology Services Division of the Office of Central Support Services.

Support in emergency situations will continue to be a core ICT function, to ensure the rapid establishment of appropriate information technology and telecommunications services and skilled staff during emergencies.

The scientific personnel of the Offices of Social Support Services provide the following services

The Division for Oversight Services expects to have a full complement of staff by the first quarter of 2006.

A 20 per cent delayed deployment factor has been applied to the phased deployment of 51 proposed positions in support of the Mission's expansion, as well as a 25 per cent delayed deployment factor in respect of the settling in grant and volunteer living allowances for the 160 proposed United Nations Volunteers to support the electoral process.
