A portion of the water that enters the groundwater system beneath the drainage basin may flow towards the outlet of another drainage basin because groundwater flow directions do not always match those of their overlying drainage network.

And in parts of the Arabian Gulf, the seawater, the salinity is increasing steadily due to the discharge of waste brine from desalination plants.

Only 10 of the outgoing water is drained by the Hrazdan (Razdan) river, while the remaining 90 evaporates.

The Chairperson, subject to these rules, shall have control over the proceedings of the Committee and over the maintenance of order at its meetings.

The Amazon basin is the largest drainage basin in the world, about , and accounts for approximately one fifth of the world's total river flow.

At the moment, sanitation essentially boils down to systems for the disposal of all kinds of solid or liquid waste.
