The Director ad interim of the Office of the Programme Planning and Budget Division and the Acting Director of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions provided clarifications pertaining to the late submission of documentation.

The proposed budget for the biennium 2004 2005 contained a slight increase in relation to the preceding period, which Nigeria welcomed, because it was time to give the Organization resources that were adequate in relation to the breadth of its mission.

Further action as regards enhanced alignment with UNICEF programme and budget cycles and processes will be discussed during the forthcoming programme and budget review, in July 2005.
