The unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, You are the Son of God!

He called to himself the twelve, and began to send them out two by two and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits.

However, the precise identity of the unclean birds is a matter of contention in traditional Jewish texts.

These are they which are unclean to you among all that creep. Whoever touches them when they are dead, shall be unclean until the evening.

If it is an unclean animal, then he shall buy it back according to your valuation, and shall add to it the fifth part of it or if it isn't redeemed, then it shall be sold according to your valuation.

And if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it according to thine estimation, and shall add a fifth part of it thereto or if it be not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to thy estimation.

At once Jesus gave them permission. The unclean spirits came out and entered into the pigs. The herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and they were drowned in the sea.

And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand ) and were choked in the sea.

'You shall therefore make a distinction between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean and you shall not make yourselves abominable by animal, or by bird, or by anything with which the ground teems, which I have separated from you as unclean for you.

Everything that opens the womb, of all flesh which they offer to Yahweh, both of man and animal shall be yours nevertheless you shall surely redeem the firstborn of man, and you shall redeem the firstborn of unclean animals.

Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.

Every thing that openeth the matrix in all flesh, which they bring unto the LORD, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be thine nevertheless the firstborn of man shalt thou surely redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts shalt thou redeem.
