Can Good Emerge From the BP Oil Spill?

The Executive Board shall develop guidelines to estimate leakage.

Various estimates of the extent of the spill were made, the final one being , of which only were recovered.

In all other cases leakage estimation is required.

The Department for Regular Attendance and the Prevention of Dropouts in the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport has been active on all levels to raise the percentage of attendance and prevent dropouts in all sectors.

For Fukushima, crews are valiantly trying to stop the radiation leakage.

So while the oil spill, the leak, the eruption, is a catastrophe, I think it's important to keep in mind that we've done a lot to affect what's in the ocean for a very, very long time.

About a year prior to this oil spill, a 17 year old student had invented a degreaser.

The overall drop out ratios were relatively low, but they have increased for the last two years.

I should be grateful if you would bring the attached programme of work to the attention of the members of the Committee (see enclosure).

People got very upset when the BP oil spill happened for very good reason.

As a result of the Canadian National Railway oil spill, fish from the lake are not recommended for consumption.

Female illiteracy has been reduced to acceptable levels, and school dropout rates have declined.

Girls who are at risk of dropping out can take remedial courses or special tutoring (some 4000 girls benefited between 2000 and 2002).

In India, the drop out rate among disadvantaged groups is estimated at 80 .

In this level the girls have access, but there are many dropouts.

The Committee is also concerned about the high junior middle school dropout rate in some rural areas.

They act it out. They act it out, and they're on their way to jail or they're on their way to being dropouts.

Social unrest and confusion, as well as radiation leaks from the Fukushima nuclear power plant, continue.

Such measures prevent and detect leakages and corruption in delivering public goods and services.

In this regard, it is my pleasure to forward to your kind attention responses prepared by the working group emanating from the Libyan National Committee (see enclosure).

So your house is dealing with leaks all the time, but it's fixing them. It's draining them out and so on.

One can only hope that the spill will be contained soon, and that the ever darkening worst case scenarios will not materialize.

Indeed, thanks to the scheme, school attendance rates have improved, sometimes by as much as 10 , and dropout rates have declined.

Schools also continue struggling with high drop out rates and serious shortages of teachers, especially female teachers.

With reference to your letter dated 10 January 2005, I have the honour to transmit herewith the reply of the Government of the Republic of Mauritius (see enclosure).

Plastic pants can be worn over diapers to avoid leaks, but with modern cloth diapers, this is no longer necessary.

It is, however, concerned at the high dropout rates, especially among girls, due to forced marriages.

The Executive Board shall consider simplification of the leakage calculation for any other project categories added to appendix B.
