The view was expressed that the IADC space debris mitigation guidelines could be endorsed by the Subcommittee as the technical background to the document on space debris mitigation being developed in the framework of the Working Group on Space Debris.

The view was expressed that the Subcommittee could, following the preparation of its own document on space debris mitigation, invite IADC to develop a detailed technical handbook that would set out the technical basis of and include detailed information on the various debris mitigation guidelines proposed.
