Commitment to inclusion, cooperation and the search for understanding as the mechanisms for the promotion of common values

We consider this to be an important process necessary for enhancing understanding and cooperation among States.

The process of globalization has the potential to facilitate the promotion of understanding, peaceful coexistence and cooperation among various nations and civilizations.

It is therefore only natural that genuine values of dialogue among cultures and civilizations should be strengthened considerably in order to enhance the culture of peace and promote greater understanding among religions and cultures so that harmony and cooperation can reign.

In this regard Kazakhstan has offered to host a conference of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe on interfaith accord next spring.

We believe that, through dialogue, it is possible to move from a culture of violent response to one of mutual understanding and cooperation.

We would recommend the use of interfaith dialogue and cooperation as one means of empowering moderates and as a useful tool to combat terrorism and promote understanding, tolerance and peace in general.
