In my capacity as Chairman of the Group of Landlocked Developing Countries, I have the honour to transmit herewith the ministerial communiqué adopted at the Sixth Annual Ministerial Meeting of Landlocked Developing Countries, held at United Nations Headquarters on 19 September 2005 (see annex).

In that connection, it was noted that the biennial assessment of the Executive Director did not include an assessment of the new commitments identified in the Joint Ministerial Statement adopted during the ministerial segment of the forty sixth session of the Commission (A 58 124, sect.

In my capacity as the representative of the country which hosted Quartet Ministerial meeting of the Middle East Peace Process international intermediaries I have the honour to transmit to you its final statement.

Interministerial Level

The ASEAN Regional Forum Statement on Non Proliferation was adopted at the ARF Ministerial Meeting in Jakarta in July 2004, which recognises that the proliferation of WMD and their means of delivery constitute a threat to international peace and security.

The ministers and other government representatives attending the forty sixth session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs adopted the Joint Ministerial Statement (A 58 124, sect. II.A), in which they reaffirmed their commitment to implement the outcome of the twentieth special session of the General Assembly.

13.4 The statement adopted at the Fifth Ministerial Conference of WTO (Cancún, Mexico, September 2003) concluded with a reaffirmation of all the Doha declarations and decisions and a commitment to work to implement them fully and faithfully.

The joint ministerial statement issued at the meeting underlined that the progress on the early entry into force of the Treaty would also contribute to a positive outcome of the 2005 Review Conference.

The Netherlands belonged to the group of original co sponsors of the joint ministerial statement (A 57 586, annex) on the early entry into force of the Treaty, issued on 14 September 2002 during the general debate of the fifty seventh session of the General Assembly.
