It noted with appreciation the preparations being made by the Government of Canada and the secretariat to convene COP 11 and COP MOP 1 in Montreal, Canada, at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal from 28 November to 9 December 2005.

Following the request of the COP at its tenth session, the Bureau decided, based on an assessment by the secretariat, to accept the generous offer of the Government of Canada to host COP 11 and COP MOP 1.
