The Under Secretary General for Internal Oversight Services introduced the report of that Office (A 60 120).

These proposals will reflect the approach of the recently appointed Under Secretary General for Internal Oversight Services and will take into account the results of mandated reviews of OIOS.

29.1 The Office of Internal Oversight Services, headed by an Under Secretary General, is responsible for the implementation of the programme of work under this section.

The steering committee will submit the reports on governance and oversight to the Secretary General and Executive Heads of participating agencies, funds and programmes and the review of OIOS to the Under Secretary General for Internal Oversight Services.

On 2 February 2005, the Under Secretary General for Internal Oversight Services submitted the final report of the Working Group to the Steering Committee on Reform and Management for its consideration.

The Under Secretary General for Internal Oversight indicated that the support costs were related mainly to auditing services, however, and that investigation services were charged at cost.

It consists of the following categories pesticide (including severely hazardous pesticide formulations) and industrial.

The project trains pesticide users and medical personnel, agricultural technicians and others on safe pesticide use.

Furthermore, the Office of the Under Secretary General provides strict quality control over the reports of the Office of Internal Oversight Services to the General Assembly, oversees resource utilization and acts as a focal point for performance management and for monitoring compliance with recommendations of the Office of Internal Oversight Services.
