Sir Thomas Brown wrote in 1642, I am the happiest man alive.

But now that I am actually smack dab in the middle of my own third act, I realize I've never been happier.

We forgot about a mission to make relatively untroubled people happier, more fulfilled, more productive. And genius, high talent, became a dirty word.

And the first person who gets happy when you do that, you don't do anything for anybody else, but you get happier, you yourself, because your whole perception broadens and you suddenly see the whole world and all of the people in it.
