The Stockholm Convention financial mechanism Purpose The Stockholm Convention financial mechanism is intended to enable developing country parties and parties with economies in transition to meet the agreed full incremental costs of implementing measures that fulfill their obligations under the Convention.

The financial mechanism for the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) is a funding mechanism.
