And when We made with you a covenant ( saying ) Shed not the blood of your people nor turn ( a party of ) your people out of your dwellings . Then ye ratified ( Our covenant ) and ye were witnesses ( thereto ) .

And when We took a pledge from you , saying You shall not shed your own people s blood , and you shall not expel your folks from your homes , you pledged , and you testify to this pledge of your ancestors .

And when We made a covenant with you , that you shall not shed your blood or turn yourselves out of your dwellings , to this you consented and bore witness .

And recall when We took your covenant , saying , Do not shed each other 's blood or evict one another from your homes . Then you acknowledged this while you were witnessing .

So , if you disbelieve , how will you avoid the day , which will make children white headed ,

If you disbelieve , how will you guard yourself against the Day that will make children gray haired ,

Then how can you fear , if you disbelieve , a Day that will make the children white haired ?

If you , disbelieve , how will you be able to protect yourselves from the hardships of the day which would even turn children grey headed ?

How , then , will you guard yourselves , if you disbelieve , on the day which shall make children grey headed ?

If you persist in denying the truth how will you escape the Day that will turn the children 's hair grey .

Then how shall ye , if ye deny ( Allah ) , guard yourselves against a Day that will make children hoary headed ?

Some will argue for trickle down economics don t worry about the poor, eventually everybody will benefit from growth.

The arrogant will say to the weak Did we hold you back from guidance after it had come to you ? Certainly not .

Those who were conceited will say to those who were subdued , Did we stop you from the guidance after it came to you ? In fact you yourselves were guilty !
