There are no adequate excuses.

The alibis for failure are also already prepared.

Don't whine. Don't complain. Don't make excuses.

Their excuses will be of no avail to the sinners on that day , and they will not be allowed to beg for favour .

So on that day the unjust will not benefit from their excuses , nor will anyone ask them for compensation .

So that day their excuses will not profit the evildoers , nor will they be suffered to make amends .

On that Day the excusing of themselves will not profit those who did wrong , nor shall they be suffered to please Allah .

So on that Day no excuse of theirs will avail those who did wrong ( by associating partners in worship with Allah , and by denying the Day of Resurrection ) , nor will they be allowed ( then ) to return to seek Allah 's Pleasure ( by having Islamic Faith with righteous deeds and by giving up polytheism , sins and crimes with repentance ) .

On that Day , the sinners excuses will not benefit them , nor will they be excused .

So that will be the Day when the excuses of the wrong doers will not avail them , nor will they be asked to make amends .

In that day their excuses will not profit those who did injustice , nor will they be allowed to make amends .

On that day , the excuses of the wrongdoers will not benefit them , nor will they be asked to propitiate Allah .

On that Day , excuses shall not benefit the harmdoers , nor shall they be asked to make amends .

So that Day , their excuse will not benefit those who wronged , nor will they be asked to appease Allah .

The excuses of the unjust on this day will be of no avail to them and they will not be able to please God .

But on that day their excuse shall not profit those who were unjust , nor shall they be regarded with goodwill .

So on that Day their pleas shall be of no avail , nor will they be allowed to make amends .

So on that Day no excuse of theirs will avail the transgressors , nor will they be invited ( then ) to seek grace ( by repentance ) .

Even if they are patient , their abode is Hell and if they beg for favour , none will favour them .

Then if they are patient , even then the fire is their home and if they plead , none will listen to their pleading .

Then if they persist , the Fire shall be a lodging for them and if they ask amends yet no amends shall be made to them .

Then if they are patient , the Fire is their home , and if they seek to please Allah , they will not be of those who are allowed to please Allah .

Then , if they have patience , yet the Fire will be a home for them , and if they beg for to be excused , yet they are not of those who will ever be excused .

If they endure patiently , the Fire will be their residence and if they make up excuses , they will not be pardoned .

In this state , whether they bear with patience ( or not ) , Fire alone shall be their abode . And if they seek to make amends , they will not be allowed to do so .

And though they are resigned , yet the Fire is still their home and if they ask for favour , yet they are not of those unto whom favour can be shown .

Should they be patient , the Fire is their abode and should they seek to propitiate Allah , they will not be redeemed .

Even if they are patient the Fire shall still be their lodging , and if they seek pardon , they shall not be among those who are pardoned .

So even if they are patient , the Fire is a residence for them and if they ask to appease Allah , they will not be of those who are allowed to appease .

Even if they were to exercise patience , their dwelling would still be hell fire . Even if they were to seek favors , they would receive none .

Then if they will endure , still the fire is their abode , and if they ask for goodwill , then are they not of those who shall be granted goodwill .

Even if they are patient , the Fire will still be their homes . And if they pray to be allowed to make amends , they will not be allowed to do so .

If , then , they have patience , the Fire will be a home for them ! and if they beg to be received into favour , into favour will they not ( then ) be received .

The virtue of their party or clique needs no complex justification it stands for American values, while critics merely provide an objective apology for the enemies of freedom.

Condemning also in the strongest terms the incitement of terrorist acts and repudiating attempts at the justification or glorification (apologie) of terrorist acts that may incite further terrorist acts,

On a more personal note, this betrayal of our principles, our decency, our hope, made it impossible for me to avoid the question, What will I say, years from now, when people ask, 'Where were you?'
