In addition to the idea of the potential transferability of specific criteria, that of transferring the tools and concepts developed in criteria based assessment may also be considered.

Finally, in order to maximize the chances of success of transferability, greater use of the documentation of the United Nations Public Service Award should be encouraged, as well as greater involvement of its winners, to spearhead transfer efforts and to foster willingness and commitment by inviting them to take part in expert group meetings and other national workshops.
