Well, first of all, for the golden shape galaxies those are the galaxies in the cluster.

The Coma Cluster (Abell 1656) is a large cluster of galaxies that contains over 1,000 identified galaxies.

We can see predictions of galaxies forming, of galaxies colliding into each other, of new solar systems.

It's a very large number of galaxies.

We only have a million galaxies, right?

The first galaxies are beginning to form.

Distance galaxies were moving away from us.

So all of these galaxies are moving.

It is plausible that the galaxies within our observable universe represent only a minuscule fraction of the galaxies in the Universe.

There are places where there are no galaxies and there are places where there are thousands of galaxies clumped together, right.

There is interaction of galaxies. We know this.

Now, there are a few relatively exotic galaxies.

And behind that are some more modern galaxies.

In this Hubble image, we see two galaxies.

That's what's blowing galaxies farther and farther apart.

Galaxies spin, right? But they spin in all directions. If you add up all the spins of the galaxies what do you get?

These little specks that you're seeing in here, they're galaxies.

But these galaxies are actually moving at extremely high speeds.

Let us now turn to the shapes of elliptical galaxies.

There are maybe 100 billion galaxies detectable by our telescopes.

It's just one of billions of galaxies in the universe.

How did the galaxies form? How did the planets form?

In this case, what we take to be very distant galaxies may actually be duplicate images of nearby galaxies, formed by light that has circumnavigated the Universe.

The galaxies were photographed in 2002 by the Hubble Space Telescope.

These 'clouds' are actually galaxies close to our own Milky Way.

There is also evidence for similar Gould belts in other galaxies.

They're other galaxies, just as vast as our Milky Way home.

When we look out into space, we see stars and galaxies.
