The term generally used by the trans community in South Asia to describe itself is khwaaja sira, and gender identity includes being transsexual, khusra (transgender person), zenanans (cross dressers), and narnbans (eunuch).

Referring to paragraph 60 of the report, in which mention was made of a letter sent to her Government concerning the alleged killing of three transsexual persons, she said that Venezuela's Attorney General's Office had in fact conducted a proper investigation.
