Field operating costs have been reduced by 1,147,800 and the new staffing structure resulted in lower staff costs.

AS manages secretariat wide operating costs from the core budget. Staffing and related costs of AS are funded from overheads.

Insufficient resources to cover the operational costs have hampered the effective functioning of the Centre and impacted on the staffing situation.

Finally, a provision of 212,200, including staffing costs, is made for the maintenance of the Liaison Office in Brussels, as explained above.
