Monochrome

A small architectural scene, landscape, or abstract design was placed in the center with a monochrome background.

Enable this option if you want the image rendered in monochrome mode. In this mode, the histogram will display only luminosity values.

They were first recorded on October 21, 1989, on a monochrome video of a thunderstorm on the horizon taken from the Space Shuttle as it passed over Australia.

In digital photography, monochrome is the capture of only shades of black by the sensor, or by post processing a color image to present only the perceived brightness by combining the values of multiple channels (usually red, blue, and green).
