Ease of debugging resulted from the numbers being readable in a hex dump where two hex numbers are used to represent the value of a byte, as 16 16 28.

The hex triplet is obtained by concatenating the 6 hexadecimal digits together, 2468A0 in this example.

The episode's title refers to the hex key that Michael makes from a screw, the key being named Allen Schweitzer 11121147 .

Rexx offers only basic math functions like ABS, DIGITS, MAX, MIN, SIGN, RANDOM, and a complete set of hex plus binary conversions with bit operations.

And so it's not going to break very easily, but if it does, virtually every piece in this machine can be swapped out and replaced with a hex wrench and a screwdriver.

Note that if any one of the three color values is less than 16 (decimal) or 10 (hex), it must be represented with a leading zero so that the triplet always has exactly six digits.
