Where there are no Centres for Family Planning, information, consultation, and printed material can be obtained by Obstetrical Gynecological medical offices of Public Hospitals.

Due attention was paid to information outreach on gynecological diseases for women, hygiene for girls and reproductive healthcare, such as clean delivery and scientific child raising).

In 2001, in FBiH, in the hospital and stationary activities, gynecological and accouter services were provided by 146 doctors of medicine or 6,3 of them to every 100.000 persons.

Also, in a sample survey of gynecological clinics, not one of the 24 clinics sampled addressed all basic requirements of women with disabilities, and only 6 clinics corresponded with most of these requirements.

The Ministry of Education is responsible for information on the consequences of abortion and the indicated measures of protection against undesirable pregnancy as well as on gynecological hygiene and precaution against sexually transmitted diseases, in schools.

It aims at their empowerment through enrichment of their knowledge and capacities, and their integration in the labour market and the local community. Special emphasis is placed on women's health care and consultation is provided in relation to gynecological matters, matters of hygiene, nutrition, contraception.
