Exchange of information (INTERPOL, EUROPOL, SECI, etc.)

Within Europe we are seeking to improve this coordination and cooperation through the establishment of EUROPOL.

Last year, the Union concluded two Europol agreements, as well as an Extradition and Mutual Legal Assistance Agreement.

These participants include the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Interpol, the World Customs Organization and Europol.

The Slovak Republic is also member of the Working Group on Terrorism (WGT) at the EU Council and of Europol.

Experts invited to give presentations during the seminar were from Egypt, Europol, Jordan, Morocco, the Netherlands and the United Nations.

He noted the cooperation arrangements that UNODC had entered into with the European Police Office (Europol) and with the European Commission.

Europol is performing a similar function with material derived from police work, and we are working to ensure synergy between these two efforts.

The reports may contain security standards or recommendations underscored by high level experts in the field and re elaborated by UNICRI in cooperation with EUROPOL.

They cooperate mainly with partner intelligence and police services abroad, and also as part of the working group against terrorism within the EU Council and EUROPOL.

In addition Europol, Interpol, World Customs Organisation and the EU Commission have been invited to participate in the work of the OPC on a permanent basis.

Experts invited to give presentations during the seminar were from Cyprus, Europol, Greece, Jordan, the Maritime Analysis and Operations Centre Narcotics (MAOCN), Morocco and the Palestinian Authority.

We share information on incidents of trafficking in radiological materials with IAEA and cooperate with Europol and Interpol in joint meetings on illicit trafficking of nuclear and radiological materials.
